I read a story called Lin and the red stranger Chapter 2. Its a fiction book.
* The story takes place in New Zealand
*They all went to this persons house.Mrs and Mr Hoy and gave the advice to Mr Choy that Lin and Little Lee should stay because they will have jobs to do for them. Mr Choy declined and Lin was glad
*Lin found New Zealand strange.
*Declan was a thief but he did not like being a theif
*He was saving up the money to get to the gold fields
