English film blog
Camera in Film.
The parts of the camera: Lenses, which is the tool that focuses light. All lenses have a fixed, which determines the focal view, and a variable focal length, which is the distance from the center of the lens where the image is in focus. We can control how much light gets in the frame through a hole called an aperture which is measured in f-stops and there are 8 of them.
Sound production
There are different types of microphones that record sounds and muffle sounds from unwanted places. There are also sound directors which decide what sounds go in the film
The director
The director is the one who directs the movie and decides where the camera goes. It is important for the director and the actor to build trust so that the movie comes out well and that they are able to create a safe space for the team to have their creativity flowing. Directors need to have a strong vision and is able to communicate it clearly
A common mistake for new directors is that they focus on the surface level of acting instead of the actual work that goes into the film.
Week 10 art blog
This week in arts, we worked on creating our series 1. My series relates to my artists' models because my series one mostly consists of portraits. I will be focusing on gray scaling and since I would be painting two paintings in digital for my series one, I would focus on keeping the texture of my painting. My series mostly consists of red, black, white, grays, and brown.

Artist Models
For my thumbnail sketches for my board, I've taken multiple inspirations from various renaissance artists as I will be creating a board of a vampire in the victorian era.

Lesson 4 week 9 art blog
This week in art we've been working on our first portfolio board. The pieces in my folio include the colours black, white and browns to give a menacing vibe and red to show the elegance of the vampire and wine. The rest of my board would all be in black and white so it all relates to one of my artist model Kathe Kollwitz. the piece in the middle of my board and the second to last piece would be related to James Constable as I would be drawing an interior and a landscape of the vampire's castle. The third artist I would reference is Johannes Vermeer through out the rest of my board as well since I like the renaissance style and it fits my board very well.
